Hiya! My name is Meg and I'm from Newfoundland, Canada. I'm 21 and currently awaiting readmission into university, where I will study physical anthropology. I hope to either go on to be an archaeologist or then go on to get an education degree. I live with a friend and we have a cat name Lucy (she is of in the sky with diamonds variety) and two rats named Jack and Shiro. I'm a pretty big nerd, I love video games and anime, and spend an unhealthy amount of my time online. I like to draw (though kinda have artists block right now), and I love to read as well. I'm shy mostly but trying to grow out of that, I try to avoid drama llamas, but I can be whiny sometimes as well. I try to see life as an adventure and want to get as much fun out of it as I can. I used to have an lj a year or two ago, but I decided instead of resurrecting that one to just start again fresh. Please add me! |

My name is Martha Von Trappenburg The Third. I’m a plastically-enhanced 44 year old stripper from the planet Neptune. I have 3 pet elephants and a habit of eating wallpaper paste. I spend most of my time in Playboy Mansions feeding Hugh Heffner clippings of my toenails. I’m also a pretty big bullshitter! :p
So, in reality, I’m 25 years of age and from the land of London, UK. I’m friendly, bubbly, open-minded, humorous and usually pretty happy go lucky. :) My entries are occasionally long and winding (when a lot has been going down, mofo!) or sometimes short and snappy. But NEVER dull!! If nothing of ultra importance or drama-less is going on.. I don’t see the need in updating – simple as. Sometimes my entries can get a little melancholy – but then, it wouldn’t be life without ups and downs!!

me:
chris, 23 years young, houston, texas.
this is a newer lj, but i've had a few lj's in the past. i'm a writer first and foremost, as in it's my job and everything. my journaling runs in different directions: my last 3 entries have been a poem, a video of my family's huge pack of kitties, and an appeal that the pbs show liberty's kids may be the worst program ever created. i'm an open book about everything, and i don't like to hold things back. i'll be in my last year of undergraduate college this year, which will involve an internship, 12 hours of classes, and learning spanish on my own time to try to test out of the requirement, amongst other things. i love a girl who loves me back. if i had to say i'm passionate about one thing, it's sports, but i almost never post about it in my journal because i have other outlets for that, which is good because about 90% of my friends do not care about sports at all. one day i'd like to write a tv show. if you believe in the stars and meyer-briggs, i'm a very typical cancer and infj.

-love to talk! in fact, i'd say i strongly prefer people who want to talk outside of lj, on instant messengers, or penpals, or email.
-are generally optimistic about life and are generally sympathetic! i won't say that i don't love a good rant, but say, if you're the kind of person who thinks it is cool to be a "bitch" or who can get so wrapped up in their emotional side that you damage people who are close to you, we're probably not such a good fit. if you get called "sweet" or "nice" a lot by your friends, that is a good sign.
-are open! and i mean that in entries, i don't want to read cryptic things. i want explanations and i want to see how your mind works, because that is infinitely more fascinating to me than 300 short-sentence entries about things that happened with no real reaction. i also would prefer it if you were the type of person who was completely open with your past, cause that sort of stuff is also very interesting to me.
-are mature! i didn't list an age group cause i feel that some people are just much more mature than others at different ages, but if your goals in life are to smoke weed all day and talk to your friends, thats not really too interesting to hear about. i want to talk to people who are passionate about what they care about and who are willing to work hard to get what they want out of life.
so if that part didn't scare you off or made you say "stop describing me", you're the kind of person who i want to be friends with. i've done this a few times and i'd say i find 2 or 3 people who i really connect with every time, and i hope that some of you will join that. if not, thanks for reading and have a good day.

Hi kiddos!
I'm not new to LJ or even to this comm, but that's okay.
I've posted here a couple of times before, and have added a few pimpalicious people, but there's always room for more. I'm trying to start being a better LJ pal, what with the reading and the commenting and all that.
Anyways, I'm Moriah, but you can call me Mo' if you like.
I do a lot of things and sometimes I even write about them. I'm 19, taking a year off from college (I've done two already) to sort myself out and hopefully get a little cash tucked away.
My journal is chock-full of poetry, rambling, and the occasional dramatic anecdote from my real life.
I'm into Harry Potter, and I'd love to add a few fen to my f-list, so if you dig, feel free to add. All shippers are totally welcome, though I personally sail on the S.S. Guns 'n' Handcuffs. H/D for the win!
And now that I've revealed what a huge nerd I am, I suppose I should probably give you an idea of my other interests.
I'm an obsessive reader. I like books, a lot. Everything from politics and history to awesome alt/indie graphic novels. Currently I'm really digging Thomas Pynchon, Don DeLillo and Daniel Clowes, but other faves include Chucks Klosterman and Pahlaniuk, Dave Eggers and David Sedaris, Susan Cooper, Garth Nix, Irvine Welsh, Douglas Coupland, Neil Gaiman and a bunch more that I won't bore you with here.
Right after my lit love comes my passion for music. Again, it's got an awfully wide range, spanning the gap between Baroque and Balkan hardcore. Perennial favorites include Bright Eyes, Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, The Mountain Goats, Bon Iver, M. Ward, Wilco, Mark Lanegan, Gym Class Heroes, Squarepusher, Aphex Twin and Regina Spektor. Currently I'm in kind of an indie-folk/folk rock groove. I generally love anything lo-fi, nostalgic, or reminiscent of wide-open spaces.
I write, too. Mostly poetry, occasionally essays, sometimes completely nonsensical strings of words.
I like very little television, but among the shows I do appreciate are Weeds, Boondocks, Rome and Father Ted.
I'm not pretentious at all about books, sounds or viewable media. I'm just passionate.

hey guys! i posted in here a while ago, but i'd still like a couple more friends so i'm posting again.
i'm twenty years old, very adventerous, very impulsive, and a pretty happy person.
i love getting lost, finding new things and going to shows. and i love antique shopping more than anything.
i do like to drink, so you'll get some drunken posts, but they're not much different from my sober posts. maybe a little happier and a little more enthusiastic. lots of exclamation points.
anddd i'm very open-minded.
